Hey folks, welcome to the new whine/general topic thread. Feel free to use this thread to discuss anything that is on your mind. Caregiving- related stuff, life after a loved one's death, your own emotional wellbeing. Whatever..........anything on your mind.
“Banging your head against the wall feels good
when you stop.”
"The nicest people
always get treated like s****t."
"If someone won't lift a finger
to call you, see you and ask how you are,
it's time for you to lift 5 fingers and
wave goodbye."
"Some people hate you
because they're failing at destroying you."
"Stop hurting yourself
because you're angry at someone else."
"If you're nice to an animal, it loves you for life.
If you're nice to a person, who the f***k knows what's gonna happen."
“So how many more
confirmations
do you need for what you already know?"
"I'm warming my hands on bridges I've burnt."
"The antidote for 50 enemies
is 1 friend."
“If you don’t get it off your chest,
you’ll never be able to breathe.”
“Don’t let idiots ruin your day.”
"It's exhausting being the
frontal lobe
for the entire family."
"The elimination diet:
Remove anger, regret, resentment, guilt, blame and worry.
Then watch your life improve."
You call Maccas it's formal name after it's famous burger making brothers (McD......)
and chocolate easter eggs. not relevant, but i understand those words really well.
How'd you go with trackies? I'll add cardie, hoodie, flannie. Nightie or pjs for sleepwear - Uggs are acceptable as indoor footwear only in the city (although the occasional flannie pj & Ugg combo is often seen dining in at Maccas).
"You can and you will
because you're bada*s like that."
I guess you mean that you still have the condition that caused the problem. For me that is Hashimotos
So you are taking thyroid med also?
I see your edit. You gained at first and now you can't, gain. That could happen with too much meds.
I was diagnosed years ago and have been on meds since then Actually I was first on meds as a child. and them as a late teen. They only gave it for a while then. But I have been on it continuously for years now needing dose adjustments sometimes.
You are a bit unusual, Llama. Most people who are hypothyroid gain weight.
I have trouble keeping weight off too. Have done all my life so I watch it carefully. When it comes down to it, for the most part it's what you eat. Most people put on a few lbs a year as an adult so if you don't adjust your eating you end up overweight. As you get older your metabolism slows down and you need less calories.
